OMD는 Paul Humphreys와 Andy McCluskey가 주축인 Synthpop 밴드이다. 이 앨범은 그들의 첫번째 앨범인데 좋게 말하자면 세련되고 나쁘게 말하자면 살짝 느끼한 그러나 어쨌든 듣기 좋은 것만은 사실인 OMD표 사운드가 아직 무르익지 않은 좀 Young한 사운드를 들려주고 있다. 하지만 어떻게 들으면 장난 같으면서도 어떻게 들으면 가장 실험적인 사운드이며, 무엇보다 가장 뿅뿅거리는 순수한 전자음악을 들려준다는 점에서 이 앨범이 가장 좋다. (나만 그런가?) 이후 앨범의 사운드도 좋아하긴 한다. 좀 다른 의미에서이긴 해도.
